Arc 2011
« on: October 09, 2010, 08:45:06 PM »
Whats happening with Arc next year, is there going to be a wild dog wargamming team or are we entering individually?

What are the benefits to entering a team and who is interested to be in the team if it goes ahead?

We need to start organising things because registrations open soon and there is only 200 positions now.

If you had not already worked it out I am interested in being involved in a team for this tournament, who else wants to be involved?...
I wasn't my fault for I didn't do it, it was the spellchecker, I swear!!!

This is also the last year that WATT (War-All-The-Time) will be running the 40k side of things.  We're talking "End of an Era" type stuff here...  It is SIMPLY the best Tournament in Australia - no ifs, buts, or maybes about it.

What I would suggest, is getting in contact with Mark of Nurgle on WargamerAU...  Say that you want to bring the Wild Dogs up, and I'm sure he'll look at guaranteeing a position or two...  But he'll need to know SOON...

There is contact details on http://40k.arcanacon.org/ - And seriously, if I do NOTHING ELSE for your Club, EVER, then getting someone to GET IN CONTACT AND GET THIS ROLLING is simply the best thing I can for you guys...

This is where you will get in contact with other clubs, this is how you become a greater part of the 40k Scene overall...  And on top of that, it has been simply the most kickass 40k Tournament for the past 13 years...

I would do it all for you, but, y'know, I'm still doing it for BADGaming, and its REALLY hard to organise while Overseas...

I am behind this.

I would like to see as many of us go down as a team as possible. 40k or Warmachine/Hordes. Doesn't matter what game, just so long as we can go as a team and have a great time!

From what I have heard is that 40k and Warhordes will be on at the same time due to aus day being in the middle of the week.

Maybe if enough of us go down as a team we can get some club shirts made up :) :P

WDW t-shirts ftw
If this a joke, not funny. If it's not a joke, Gmod is ruined. It was fun because it was free, I will never pay $10 for a sandbox game. No matter what new stuff you put in there.

sounds like some good fun.
I'm sorry.
It doesn't matter how many or how good you are.
There are too many things I have yet to know about this world to leave it today.

Well make a team captain for each game we plan to enter a few people in. They can be the donkeys who do more work.

Either that or it'll probs get lumped on the club big cheeses.

OK, so there is a strong interest interest. The question now is who is going to organise it? I am happy to but i have never even entered Arc before let alone done anything on a team level outside WDW so i think i will either let someone else more able do it unless there really is no body who can/wants to.

Sounds like fun, just like last year even though i didn't play.

I'm volunteering to organize it. But I might get some help from youngy or crivens while exams are on. I've already registered my self for arc, just waiting till nov 1st to register for 40k.

He was not willing to give our club free tickets as we are so young, and have not actually supported the tournament in the past. My advice, when that system opens, get your name into it for the 40k as fast as possible. I will be down there, not playing myself, and am willing to give six lifts, although I can't organise a place to stay (I'll speak to Mark)

Play Warmachine youngy.

I'll organise us for Warmachine/Hordes.

Whomever is interested let me know and I will sign us up as a club.
