Yeah, those standards are like $11 each... :P

MOAR INCOMING:

Plastic (PLASTIC) Nurgle Champion (did I mention it's plastic?)

Plastic Saurus Hero (dribble)

DE Sslyth (and lady with poisons off-centre)

I seriously want all three! The nurgle dude is fantastically morbid, I have a hefty Lizardmen collection, so I'll have two of him ;) and that snake-man is an amazing sculpt! You can really tell it was modeled on a viper :D

Gorgeous sculpts there, have been eyeing off the Dark Eldar for years but was always against shelling out the cash for a sub-par codex army.  I bought the codex the other day in Ringwood and think I have a new army to aim for.  Loving the medusae and if that's the lahmean in the picture with the Sslyth then loving her too.
Go the Nurgle Lord!  Once upon a time I had a small Death Guard army, in fact I entered a Rhino in Games Day years and years ago.  Ah...I remember when I used to reminisce.
Looks like we've got some awesome models coming up in the rush to Christmas.  Bring it on.

Do you guys ever look at the forgeworld stuff? It confuses me, how independent forge world are, I mean here they are producing a fine range of chaos dwarves: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer/CHAOS_DWARFS

and check out this Empire landship (only £115.00!):

I love me some forgeworld stuff.  I bought the Elspeth von Draken on Carmine Dragon, some Tau turrets and towers, the Exalted Vermin Lord and the IA Book 3: Taros Campaign (Tau and IG).

The Chaos Dwarfs there are from the Host of Azgorh which is in the upcoming Tamurkan: Throne of Chaos book.  Additional rules for Warhammer like the IA books provide additional rules for 40K.

Forgeworld stuff only takes about a week to come from the UK, is expertly packed, the resin casting is superb, with none of the issues that finecast has.  Postage is only about 15% of the entire order.  They're made of awesome.

Forgeworld are going to be at Games Day in October.  You can send them an email to order in models from their current range - for payment and collection on the day.  I think the order has to be in by tomorrow.

Totally adding some Tetras to my Tau force.

FW is currently cheaper then GW. Its a joke, compare dreadnought prices :P
Or the 'siege giant' to a GW giant.

I have a few things from FW, namely a trio of rhinox riders (made of awesome, gorgeous sculpts and no sign of blemish), a FW only bane blade (the plasma one, the whole thing is metal. Feels WIN)
I have heard of many issues with bits of their products sometimes being malformed, but norm with proof they are happy to replace.

Back in the day FW were the super eliteist expensive products in an already expensive and niche market. Nowadays well... see for yourselves.

Question: Is it worth starting a new 40k army for Christmas? Probably not... UNLESS THEY ARE NEW NECRON!!!
I am seriously almost considering getting one of each of these bad boys :D

Codex

Doomsday Ark

Ghost Ark/ Annihilation Barge

Catacomb Command Barge/ Annihilation Barge (also includes parts for lord on foot)

Lychguard/ Triarch Praetorians

Immortals/ Deathmarks

Imotekh the Stormlord

Necron Overlord

Trayzyn the Infinite

Necron Cryptek

Flayed One Pack

All characters and the Flayed Ones are in Finecast, the rest are plastic kits

L-O-V-I-N-G!!! the big kits!  Looks like GW are also releasing pretty much everything at the same time from the amount of pics as well.

Always loved the idea of Necrons, but never thought they did them quite right.  I think I may have to stand corrected on that!

Though I'll stick with my clumsy-trigger-finger Tau for the time being.

well those necrons sure look a lot more exciting aesthetically than the current ones... i wonder if the monolith is being removed in favour of those ark things. something tells me that overlord on the left would be fun to paint. however, i know all to well once the ridiculously bloated prices are announced it will more than likely shun me away from wanting to get one for painting purposes.
I'm sorry.
It doesn't matter how many or how good you are.
There are too many things I have yet to know about this world to leave it today.
So, regrettably, today it is your turn to die.

Have pre ordered my necron book, been very rarely painting some necrons for past 12 months. Got sad when I discovered new necrons coming out as I had only purchased 1/3 models i needed however lucky for me the warriors have not been remodelled.

Tempted by an undead army. Get some of those really nice GW centrepieces, then you can bulk it up with some great cheap mantic models.
